Arxeon was back in the woods, on another miserable trek through thick, gelatonous mud. The only way the day had improved from the last was in the pack full of hog and the slightly lilier forest around him, and the second one was a mixed blessing, as with all the peaceful life came the perils of the wilds. Though in these woods most predators were nocturnal, there was always the odd creature or character who would strike in the post-dawn hours, in hopes of taking the unwary by surprise. In this forest especially, there was the ever present chance of a pack of dart dragons, small and poisonous predators, launching a lethal attack from above.

There was a young man, walking through a forest. He was about six feet tall, with brown hair, a fraction over two inches long, and deep brown eyes with a steely gaze. He was of a slightly smaller-than-average build and had light skin. He wore a tan, boiled leather jacket with thin steel plates sewn in, a pair of brown breeches and brown, leather boots. He also wore a  white tunic under the jacket embroidered with a light blue rose. He had a belt on his hip with a sheathe for a slender duelist's sword, a holster for an ornate pistol, along with a shot satchel and powder horn, and a pouch containing several items; his coin purse, a hunting knif
